This led me to read further on the cultural revolution and the history of modern China. It reads well, but still classical masculine SF. I enjoyed much more <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Embassytown\">Embassytown<\/a><\/em> from China Mieville that I read this summer or the Broken Earth Trilogy from N. K.
